a 9600-mile, 3-month trip from Prescott, Arizona to Alaska and back
The trip began May 8, 2014 and we returned home to Prescott on August 5. The RV is a 2014 Concord 225LE made by Coachmen on a Ford E-350 chassis with a 6.8L Triton® 20-valve 305 hpV10 gasoline engine and TorqueShift 5-speed automatic transmission. We towed a 2013 Jeep Wrangler with automatic transmission using a Blue Ox tow bar and Blue Ox Patriot braking system. The RV is equipped with a 4 KW Onan genset and an 1800-watt Xantrex inverter powered by 2 6-volt batteries. It carries 50 gallons of fresh water and has a 28 gallon gray tank and a 20 gallon black tank. We were able to dry-camp for three days comfortably. The following is a summary of the trip statistics:
